Research In Motion (RIM) has renamed its Operating System Platform from BBX to Blackberry 10. It is the latest platform for the next generation on which the upcoming smartphone from BlackBerry.
Unable to use the BBX name anymore, RIM was forced to choose a different one and so at the BlackBerry DevCon Asia, RIM announced that the platform will now be called BlackBerry 10, which, actually, is nothing more than the full form of the original name B(lack)B(erry)X(10).
Up till now the latest smartphones from blackberry namely BlackBerry Curve 9380 and BlackBerry Bold 9780, runs on the BlackBerry Operating system BlackBerry OS 7. The new platform is seems to very astonishing as it raise the platform for blackberry phones to the next level.
RIM intends to use its BlackBerry DevCon conference to inject some life into its developer support, which is crucial to keeping its mobile ambitions alive. Lazaridis, in a number of demonstrations, promised an easier process for developers, more profits, and the ability to take advantage of platform’s upgraded gaming engine, user interface and HTML 5 compatibility–all designed to lure interest away from Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android platforms.
But the PlayBook, which runs on its next-generation platform, got off to a rocky start in April after reviewers savaged it for omitting core BlackBerry services such as native e-mail and messaging and requiring software updates right out of the box. The carriers–traditionally a huge support line for RIM–also opted not to sell the tablet.
This handset is apparently code-named London, and is due for a June 2012 release date. While it’s not suffering in the looks department, there’s a lot of good stuff going on under the hood too.
So Please stay tuned For the reviews and specifications of this phone as it will be soon unlocked in our site.
